Madge on Mission Trip 2025

Dear Parents and MOMers, 

We are very excited for our third MOM (Madge on Mission) trip, August 22-26. Below we will try and give you a clear picture of what our trip will look like so that you will understand what we’ll be up to so that you can be best prepared for the trip. We pray that it will be life changing for everyone involved and an encouraging way to end the summer! 

Leave / Return Time: 

• Come to the camp 5:30pm on Thursday, August 21 for the Staff Wind-up. If you do this, plan to stay overnight at the camp. This is in order that we can leave early the next morning, Friday, Aug 22 at 10:00am.  

• Return time is 5:30pmish on Tuesday, August 26.  
• Transportation will be with the Roblin Evangelical Mission Church’s motor coach.  

What to Bring: 

• Please bring money for 2 meals on the way there/back. 

• Each person is allowed 1 piece of small luggage and 1 small backpack. We are only gone for 4 nights, so there is no reason to pack a massive amount! 
• Sleeping bag / pillow  
• Clothes (you may be active, doing work projects, getting dirty or wet) 
• Bathing suit (modest swimwear please) 

• Towel and toiletries  

• Spending money (if you want). You might want to spend money if we end up going to a mall or convenience store.  

Cost 

• We are asking you to provide 2 meals on our trip there and back - $25 should cover it.  

• For everyone who volunteered (LIT’s, CIT’s, WIT’s) 3 weeks or more, the MOM trip is free! 
• Every week you volunteer earns you $50 off the trip.
  • Eg – if you volunteer for two weeks, the MOM trips costs you $50. If you volunteer for one week, the MOM trip costs you $100.  

• For Cabin Leaders/Wranglers, the cost is $150.  

• If you want to bring some spending money, that is up to you! You will have the opportunity to go to some touristy shops.  

What We’ll Be Doing 

• We will be going to The Mustard Seed and participating in their “Day in the Life” program, a program that will teach us about homelessness and poverty.

• Everyone will be given a Bible and time to highlight things and write in it. We want to challenge you to pray and give this Bible out while on the trip!  

• We have a few fun activities planned as well! (surprise!)

Before You Come 

• Important! Each person under 18 needs a parent or guardian to sign our waiver / parent letter.  You will also need to sign the Mustard Seed’s waiver form!
