Bob Schwalm - Board Chairperson

Bob began his relationship with the camp a few years ago to assist with the ranch camps. It was there that he saw just how real God was, and the impact that MLBC was making on so many lives, including his children and grandchildren. Bob became a board member quite a few years ago and has a passion to see the camp advance and continue to see lives change.

Edwin Popoff

Edwin started his camp career as a camper at age 11. It was then that he first gave his heart to the Lord. He might be what you call a “lifer”. At age 13 he first spent a week as CIT/LIT and returned every summer until he graduated highschool and then some more after that. After a bunch of years being part of a cabin he was able to pursue another interest as tech director. For several summers he helped film and put together highlight videos so campers could remember their amazing camp experience. Edwin continues to help out with some tech stuff and has been involved with many of the Imadgeine Christmas productions. Some of his favourite camp memories are from his years as tech director watching the campers engage in worship.

Dylan Liske

Dylan has been a camper at Madge most of his life! He joined the board because he has seen the difference camp can make in people's hearts, including his own.

Mike & Shelley Gunn

Mike Gunn holds a Master’s Degree in Clinical Counselling as well as a Bachelor’s degree in Education from UBC, Vancouver. He covers the south territory for YTC: Sakimay, Kahk, and Ocean Man. Mike has a specialty in sexual abuse and has set up programs for the YMCA, Boys and Girls Club, Great West Life, etc. He produces many workshops utilizing a wholistic model of healing that integrates a strong spiritual component. Currently Mike and Shelley live in Kamsack, Saskatchewan, and have been connected to Madge in the last few years by bringing out various school groups, therapy groups, etc.

Jeremy Paulenko

Jeremy is from Roblin, MB. He grew up going to Madge Lake Bible camp each summer. Through camp, Jeremy encountered God in amazing and deep ways he hadn't before. He enjoyed meeting so many new people, making friends & playing fun games outdoors. He has made many awesome memories at camp that will be with him for the rest of his life. Jeremy got to work as a CIT and then a Cabin Leader. While those jobs aren't always easy, Jeremy felt it was so rewarding to be able to see God work in the lives of his campers. Jeremy is very excited to go full circle and now serve the camp by being on the board. He is looking forward to serving God through this oportunity!

Corelie Heise

Corelie is from Churchbridge, SK. When camp was needing some volunteers in the kitchen in 2017, she went to help and experienced the amazing presence of the Lord at camp. That August her and her family came to Family camp and ever since then, her kids have been coming to camp every year as campers and now WIT and LIT and Corelie has been volunteering as Camp Nurse ever since then as well. Her most favorite part of camp is experiencing the loving and joyful atmosphere at camp and how the campers are impacted by what the Lord is doing in them. “It truly is a place where God enters their hearts, and they begin to grow”. Corelie just joined the board in 2023, as she sees God working in her own life. She helps with the Christmas Play Dessert Theatres and continues to be a part of camp each summer!

Chad McCord

Chad McCord got connected with MLBC when his daughters started attending as campers in 2018. Then in 2020 his oldest daughter came as a camper and as an LIT, and the way God worked in her life that summer was incredible. Chad volunteered in the kitchen for a number of weeks. Not only did he have a blast, but he was able to see first-hand God working very evidently through the different staff and events, and loved being a part of the Madge family. Chad joined the board in Feb 2022 and is very excited to be able to serve! He loves that he is often able to serve with his family and is excited to see where God leads the camp.

Robert Schuster

Robert Schuster has been going to MLBC since he was 11. Going to camp was always the highlight of his summer while growing up. He grew up always believing in God but it was through camp that he began to grow in his faith and develop a relationship with Jesus. Robert agreed to join the board because he want to give back and support the place where he found and developed his faith.

Shawn & Keziah Campbell

Shawn and Keziah Campbell became a part of Madge Lake Bible Camp when their kids began attending shortly after they moved to Swan River in . They quickly grew to love the camp, and Keziah agreed to be our Head Cook during the summer. For the past few summers, she has served faithfully in the kitchen and we are so blessed as she cares for the campers and staff with her amazing food. Her husband Shawn could not watch from the sidelines for long, and he soon too became an active member of supporting the camp through serving. Shawn and Keziah have been serving on the board for the past year.

Riekert & Mandi Leibbrandt

As children and teenagers, we experienced the
influence of youth ministry and Christian camps in
our lives and it played a pivotal part in our walk
with the Lord. When we heard about Madge Lake
Bible Camp, we felt that our children could only
benefit. They had such positive experiences and
we could see the impact the camp had in their
lives, and every year we saw how they grew closer
to Jesus after attending camp. So when the
opportunity came for us to be more involved, it
was an easy yes. It is a privilege to be part of God's
work in childrens' lives!
